I was working on this piece when my daughter had her stroke. It sat unfinished for nearly a month, and when I returned and finished it, I noticed a slightly crooked corner, which felt about right. This is probably my favorite print in the collection, because coming back to it marked a moment when I knew things would be okay.
Every print begins as a drawing that I carve by hand into a linoleum block. I make each print by hand, one at a time, so no two are exactly alike. Small variations in texture and ink coverage are part of the handmade process. I print on Somerset, a 100% cotton, archival printmaking paper made in England, using Cranfield's Caligo Safe Wash inks.
The image measures 6" × 8” on 11” × 14” paper with generous margins, so it fits a standard frame with or without a mat. This design is available in black and Kelsea’s Pink. Each color is a separate edition of 25, signed and numbered.
