FAQ

Can I commission a painting?  I offer a few commissions each year, they are listed on my website shop when they are available. If you purchase a commission, you are paying a deposit, and we will work out the details and timing after that. But please contact me ahead of time if you have more questions! questions@carasgarden.com

Print Quality:  All of the prints in the shop are Giclee reproductions and are created on archival paper or canvas on a printer in my studio. The canvas and paper prints are delivered flat (not stretched on frames) and can be matted or dry-mounted. The prints look so good they are easily mistaken for originals. There is no white border left around the image on the canvas prints.

Matting your art:  Matting your print will make it look amazing! I have a small selection of mat sizes available, but please download the framing guide for more information.

Why is 16” x 20” the largest size print offered?

The printer I have in my studio only prints 17 inches wide, so that is all I am able to print at this time. If you are interested in a larger print, please be in touch, and I may be able to have a print made out of the studio. questions@carasgarden.com

 How is artwork shipped?

Originals:

  • Oil paintings take a  lot of time to dry--and sometimes I list them on my website before they are ready to ship. If that is the case, I do list the probable ship date. I will not ship a painting before it is ready to be tightly packaged (Usually about 4-8 weeks after it is completed).

  • Most artwork is packed in paper, and sent in a sturdy cardboard box. If the painting is large, I may remove it from the stretcher bars and send it in a tube. I will let you know if this is the case!

Prints:

  • All small prints are packaged beautifully in paper or plastic sleeves and are mailed in a sturdy flat mailer. Larger prints, those 16x20 and larger, will be mailed in a tube.

Local Pickup:  You are also welcome & encouraged to pick up your original artwork in person at my studio Ann Arbor, Michigan.  We will be in contact via email to find a time to meet.

Workshops and Classes:  I love to teach botanical painting classes, and usually host a few per year. When I do, they are listed on my website.

Are you interested in carrying my artwork or products in your shop or in your designed space? I am happy to discuss with you, please be in touch! questions@carasgarden.com
