This print began as a sketch of the nasturtiums from my edible flower bed in the garden.
Every print begins as a drawing that I carve by hand into a linoleum block. I make each print by hand, one at a time, so no two are exactly alike. Small variations in texture and ink coverage are part of the handmade process. I print with Cranfield’s Caligo Safe Wash inks on Somerset, a 100% cotton, archival printmaking paper made in England.
The image measures 6" × 8” on 11” × 14” paper, with generous margins, so it fits a standard frame with or without a mat. This design is currently available in black. Each color is a separate edition of 25, signed and numbered.
