A midsummer’s peek into the garden. A moment when the sweet peas were still blooming, the Cosmos and Gomphrena were at their peak, and the first Dahlias were starting to open.
Every print begins as a drawing that I carve by hand into a linoleum block. I make each print by hand, one at a time, so no two are exactly alike. Small variations in texture and ink coverage are part of the handmade process. I print on Somerset, a 100% cotton, archival printmaking paper made in England, using Cranfield's Caligo Safe Wash inks.
The image measures 8" × 6” on 14” × 11” paper, with generous margins, so it fits a standard frame with or without a mat. This design is currently available in black. Each color is a separate edition of 25, signed and numbered.
