Comfort foods, for me, are things that grow in a Mediterranean climate. Creating layers with pen and ink is a very meditative process. So, making these pieces during a time when the world felt stressful was very grounding. My vision for this collection was to create a feeling of depth and comfort with layers of ink, textured linen, and the warmth of the wood.
