This design has been in my mind for nearly a decade. I first experienced hops (other than in beer) while working on a farm in Illinois. I was weeding, and planting, and generally getting an outdoor dining ready for a farm to table dinner, and I was tasked with cleaning up the hops vines that were growing on the pergola. I learned a lot (wear gloves!), and was completely smitten with the beautiful, almost papery flowers that adorned the gorgeous foliage. I began sketching them, and have been wanting to create more designs ever since . So when I started my Citrus & Hops collection early this year, I was delighted with how they came out, and I am so excited to see them on these beautiful notebooks.
